o_ton: Event, rehearsal, recording hall (75 sqm) with lots of daylight and various equipment.
100% soundproofed (from outside to inside and vice versa), i.e. trouble-free events as well as rehearsals/work/recording 24h/7d, in professionally optimized hall acoustics, with underfloor heating, oak parquet (new 2022) or also laid out with carpet over the entire area – depending on acoustic preference, generous daylight fronts on both sides, professional large silent ventilation system (fresh air) corresponding to the room, 13 sqm stage, electric blackout system.

*o_ton’s acoustics are predestined and optimized for all acoustic events. From soloists to larger music ensembles, comfortable rehearsing (& recording) with up to about 25 musicians is possible.
Events
*The o_ton hall can be booked by organizers and ensembles, bands, etc. for concert events by arrangement.
Theater rehearsals
*For smaller or medium-sized theater ensembles, a rehearsal stage (13 sqm) is available, including a programmable stage lighting system with three light trusses.
Photo/art exhibitions/installations
*We have generous daylight and a lighting system
Video shoots // Music video shoots
*are well feasible in the large daylight hall, a blackout system is also available
Film previews
*prof. beamer & screen and a very good sound system (2xBOSE LII with 2 big subwoofers) are available

The o_ton hall is includeds the following infrastructure:
*Foyer (approx. 15 sqm) with the following equipment: equipped buffet kitchen with bar counter, refrigerator, coffee machine, microwave.
*spacious WC/bathroom (barrier-free, handicapped accessible, incl. shower) in the foyer
*Completely covered, wind- and view-protected entrance courtyard with approx. 50 sqm and approx.15+ seats, well suited for use as a coffee, smoking, meal break location (own catering) or event break location
*Large entrance gate and extra wide entrance doors (220 H x 160 W) for easy transport also of e.g. large instruments (e.g. drums, harpsichord, harp etc…) all first floor and as good as barrier-free to the hall, free parking (& loading) directly in front of the door
*Building security by alarm system
*Free fast W-LAN in the whole building (fiber optic connection)
***Additional infrastructure (optional after consultation): a spacious sun terrace (approx. 60 sqm) in the inner courtyard on the railroad embankment – can be booked additionally with up to approx. 30 seats, e.g. for use during breaks at events or similar (a train passes by there from time to time)
*Audio recording room // Upon request and agreement also possible with o_ton team and with the already hard-wired and connected cooperation partner TOPAZ recording studio (equipment: 48 channel ADT 5MT/MR recording console, automated, total recall).

Logistical info on location & surroundings:
*The Musik&Projekthaus K7A is located in Cologne’s Südstadt. The entire popular Südstadt gastronomy is within walking distance (approx. 3 min) from the building. The Römerpark (green area, city park) starts directly in front of the building, and if you cross it, you can reach the Rhine promenade (incl. gastronomy, terraces etc.) in about 5 minutes.

Airplane: Travel time from the nearby Cologne/Bonn airport approx. 30 min
By train: Cologne Central Station // Drive time from the main railway station (Dom): approx. 10 min (via Rheinuferstrasse) //
By car: Our exact address in Cologne South is: Kyllstrasse 7A – 50678 Cologne/Germany (be sure to note the postcode in your car navi!).
*Access via Alteburgerstrasse from Schönhauserstrasse (Rheinufer) or alternatively via Bonnerstrasse and Alteburger Wall.
*Access via Bonn: approx. 25 min (via Bonner Verteiler, Bonnerstrasse)
*Parking spaces: 2 x free of charge in front of the door for our guests, as well as approx. 20 free public parking spaces around the house (if free!)
Arrival by public transport:
*The underground station „Bonner Wall“ is within walking distance (approx. 200 metres), where you can take underground line 17 or bus line 132 directly from/to Cologne main station. Other bus lines to Bonner Wall are 132, 133, 106, 142. From Chlodwigplatz underground station (lines 15, 16, 17) you can change directly to line 17 or bus lines 106, 132, 133, 142. Or from Chlodwigplatz it is about a 10-minute walk (850 metres) to us.
